Is Midou really free?
Yes. Listing, matching and swapping cost nothing. We do not take a commission because no payment ever passes through the platform. Optional prepaid shipping labels are the only thing you pay a carrier for.
What if my part is worth more than theirs?
Every listing shows an indicative value band so both sides can judge fairness. You can add a second part to balance a swap, or decline and keep browsing — nobody is obliged to accept a match.
How do you stop broken parts being traded?
Sellers declare condition, upload photos and answer a short defect checklist. If a part arrives materially different from its listing, you open a dispute within 72 hours and our mediators restore the swap.
Do I need to be a professional garage?
No. Private owners, hobbyists and registered workshops all use Midou. Workshops get a verified badge and can bulk-import inventory.
Which vehicles are covered?
The catalogue covers most European, Japanese and Korean passenger cars from 1995 onwards, plus light commercial vans. Classic and motorcycle catalogues are in beta.
